My wife made the pounded yam and was given to the President.
After the meal, he washed his hands reached for his pocket and brought out a letter, he asked me to read and sign.
Upon opening the letter, I discovered it was my resignation letter, written by the president himself. That was the most shocking thing I have ever experienced in my life, I was fidgeting, my family members were panicking, I thout he was going to kill me, he said.
As I looked up with my hands shaking, one of the security operatives came closer, by this time, I knew things were getting serious with the looks on their faces. I requested to go in and get a pen, the President quickly brought out his Own and handed it over to me, he narrated. I had no option than to quickly append my signature.
After I signed the letter, the President looked at me and said; Mr. Chairman, you know quiet alright that from what you have said about my policy today, you shouldn't be the Chairman of our party again. You can't be my Chairman, he affirmed. I couldn't utter a word, he left Whit his heavy security. Thirty minutes later, the President came back to my house again.
I thought he was back to kill me. This time, he didn't step into my house, not even my gate. He was outside with all the security operatives. I went to meet him myself, he brought out the letter and asked why I didn't write the date on it. "Oya, write today's date below your signature", he said.
 I did and he left.
