60 Suspects arrested by the EFCC during the recent "Yahoo Boys award night" in Ogun State

The men of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC have on Sunday arrested 60 suspected internet fraudsters during an award ceremony tagged; " Peer Youths Award Night" at the Conference Hotel in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.

The spoke man for the EFCC said that the award was organised solely to reward high ranking internet fraudsters who have so far, in 2021 defrauded innocent citizensof huge amount of money, locally and internationally.
Items recovered from the raid at the point of the arrest was exotic cars, powerful electronic devices, Laptops and mobile phones.
According to the spoke man for the anti-graft agency, the 60 suspected internet fraudsters will be charged to court sonnest. 
"The ongoing fight against internet fraudsters by the Buhari led administration is obviously loosing momentum, as the number of cyber criminals in the country seems to be on a steady rise".

 Studies shows that the youths of Nigeria seems to find solace in cyber criminality; as some of them see the supposed dirty job as the only way to escape poverty amidst economy woes brought about by the present administration. 
Some of the arrested cyber criminals have blamed the government of President Buhari for their act.
