My sister, Rachael Oniga did not die of Covid-19 complications, Late Oniga elder sister Cries out | Tiz Naija

Rachael Oniga, the Nollywood Veteran actress who was famous in both Yoruba and English movies was reported dead on Saturday in one of the hospitals on Friday,  in Lagos.
 The Delta State born legendary actress was said to have passed on around 10:00PM after a brief illness, she was 64. There is controversy concerning what led to her demise in the hospital as people are alleging that the beautiful actress died of covid-19 complications.
Contrary to the reports flying around on social media, the elder sister to the late actress has come out to tell the world of what truely led to her sister's death. 
Toyin Odusote in a social media post disclosed that her younger sister, Rachael Oniga died of heart related ailment.
In a ststement, Odusote said; 

"Contrary to reports on social media, that my sister died of covid-19 complications, we write to clear the air that the report is wrong. My sister died of a heart related issues. 
This was an ailment she battled with for a short period of time before her demise. We as a family accepts her sudden transition as God's design, we also see it as a function of race of life well finished. But painful as it may be, we accept it with good faith and with a total submission to her maker. 
Burial arraignment will be announced in due course, we appreciate the calls, text messages and condolences expressed by everyone, and we pray for the sweet response of her beautiful soul.
 Please accept this piece as the only authentic statement from the family, until we meet to come up with another".

The Public Relation Officer of the actors' Guild of Nigeria, Mr. Olamilekan Ojura has also come out to debunk the claim that the beautiful actress died of covid-19 related complications. Goldmynetv disclosed on Instagram days ago that the actress was seen in location shooting some movie scenes in Mowe, Ogun State before her demand on Friday night. 

Ojora also told Premium Times that he was supposed to shoot a movie with Mrs Oniga in an upcoming movie before her sudden death. Friends and colluges have called to consol the family of the late actress as they see it as a big loss, not only to the family, but the entertainment industry and Nigeria as a whole.
