 Meet Kelly J. Evergreen

1. Who is  Kelly J. Evergreen, let's meet you

Good day, My full name is Joshua Omede I am an afrobeat,Rnb,Dancehall Artiste, started off my musical career professionally 2012, before then I was a musical producer, but had to focus on the artiste part of music.

2. Congratulations on your new record deal with an international record label,  can you tell us how happy you are about this new development in your life and career?

Thanks alot, this has been a long time dream, although I have been approached by alot of Record labels who wanted to sign me in the time past, but those deals was not favourable, Proximus music Group has been on me for some time now, and I am happy the deal came through as it would further enhance my music career. We are already working on my E.P which would be out soon, it is ready, my new management are already on it, songs are ready I can't wait for it to be out because I know it would be massive. I Thank God almighty for this deal and I and my management are ready to deliver back to back hits

3. Yes you are on ur way  to the top,  what message do you have for up coming artist who wants to be like you?

If you are an Artiste out there and you have not gotten your major break yet, don't see yourself as an upcoming  artiste, don't limit yourself, see yourself as a superstar, work on your craft day and night, be humble, and let consistency be your guide, cause you never know who is watching.

Don't try to be like anybody, even me, don't try to be like me, you can only be the best version of yourself, that's the only way you can take on the world.

4. What inspired you into music?

When I was at a tender age, one of the highlights for me going to church was the music, I remember going to church with my mum, and at that age 10 I wanted to join the choir because I love the way they sing and the arrangements with the strings and drum.
While growing up, I started listening to King sunny ade, Osita osadebe and the great baba fela,  I think this was my early influences.

Most of my songs are about real life experiences, I draw my Energy from God, I sing about what happens in our immediate environment, listen to songs like Old Kargo, Ole Paro, Revolution Now, World of Vanity Etc. I think life inspired me into music.

5. How many songs have you released before this new record

I have dished out a lot of songs, before we started having blogs and influencers, i can't say for sure, but from 2012 till now I should have released about 20 songs, and recorded over 50 songs, some of them are unreleased and I have to trash some of them because of the quality of the audio that didn't meet up with the industry standard.

6. Where do we expect to see you in 3     years time?

By Gods grace I expect to move up the charts, get more people listening to my song, affect the world in a positive way because I know my songs have messages in them that if alot of people listen to, the world will become a better place. In the next three years, it is more greatness for me. Going further, breaking and topping charts, performing in world biggest stages.

7. Who is your role model in Nigerian     Music  scene?

Thank God I have met my role models in real life, they gave me an advice that I am still using till date, 2baba and Timaya, they inspire me alot, they both have similar stories, from Grass to Grace.

8. Who are you looking forward to working with in Nigerian music?

I am looking forward to work with the new school artiste topping the charts at the moment, Omah Lay, Peruzzi, Fireboy, Joeboy, Oxlade. Hopefully also work with the industry Veteran, 2baba, Timaya, Wizkid & Davido. Although my new management is already making contacts, so we are on track.

9. Your fans wants to know if you are         packing abroad or not,  are you packing     out?

I am not packing abroad, I am still an afrobeat artiste, they have a proxy  head here in Nigeria, and the plan is to take over the Nigeria music industry, apart from me being the first African artiste that they signed, I believe they wanted to invest in African music. I can get international gigs and recognition, I can travel back and forth, but I am relocating.

10. Where can we get your songs to listen          to?

My songs are everywhere, check me up on youtube. Kellyjay Evergreen, or just search me up on google. Stream my songs on apple music, Amazon, Spotify etc.
